What is the Bushmills Ulster-Scots Heritage all about?

The Bushmills Ulster Scots Heritage is a single identity group set up to promote and develop a greater understanding of Ulster Scots culture and heritage in the Bushmills area. The Bushmills Ulster-Scots Heritage group hope that the promotion of rural culture, heritage and identity will act as a catalyst for local development and new opportunities.

In order to achieve this, the Bushmills Ulster-Scots Heritage is planning to fund various activities that will help Bushmills discover more about its rich Ulster Scots heritage and culture. This will include classes in Ulster-Scots history, language, arts and music as well as various events and festivals including Ulster-Scots language celebrations, traditional Burn’s Night supper and a festival on the real St. Patrick.
